I had the same problem with the controller– got an “E” for error and nothing I did made it go away, which is a shame, because the blanket itself is thick, soft, and very large, much larger than the last blanket I had, a Sunbeam King.
PS: THE BIDDIFORD people were WONDERFUL and sent me a whole new blanket and analog controls and they work great. Took just a week– great customer service.

I had bought one of these in the past, and had problems with it after about a month. No, I hadn’t washed it, or anything. So I figured that I would give it another try. I found them on sale and bought two of them. One for myself, and one for my sister. We both had the same result. Mine lasted about two weeks and my sister’s lasted about one week.
You may ask what it does. Well, it’s digital, and after a bit of being on, it puts an “E” in the digital display. That means there is an error. I have tried to turn it off, I have tried to unplug it to reset it. Nothing works. My sister’s on the other hand, the controller quit working all together.
If you take a chance on it, beware! It won’t last long at all, which defeats the purpose of using it on those cold nights.
